Clint Robinson paddles among the ‘reeds’!

Reed Property Group has announced its support for kayak great, Clint Robinson, as he prepares for his fifth Olympic campaign.

Reed Property Group Managing Director, Ken Reed, said the company was pleased to be part of Clint’s support ‘crew’, ensuring that one of the Sunshine Coast’s most celebrated sporting identities could focus entirely on his swansong appearance in Beijing.

“Clint is not only an inspirational athlete but a truly great ambassador for the Sunshine Coast,” said Mr Reed.

“We have long admired Clint forhis incredible endurance, commitment and discipline and our support for his final Olympic campaign salutes these extraordinary qualities.”

“For nearly two decades, Clint has been a role model for young people and his legacy extends beyond his sporting prowess.”

“Given Clint’s sacrifices over his 20 year career, we’ve been only too happy to provide a range of support including the facilitation of training and racing gear, travel and the development of new equipment design,” said Mr Reed.

Clint who will leave for Beijing with the Australian kayaking team in less than a month has only just returned from a series of World Cup racing events in eastern Europe.

As a prelude to the Olympic competition, these events were a trial run for our nation’s kayaking combinations with Clint featuring in the K2 and K4 crew.

“The seven week European tour was vital for our team preparations and the intensive training and racing regime was a great platform for Beijing,” said Clint.

“I’d like to thank Reed Property Groupfor their magnificent gestures over the past eight years and it would be wonderful to acknowledge all my supporters by finishing on a winning note at the Games,” said Clint.
