Construction commenced on ‘The Plantation’ at Rainbow

Reed Construction Qld (RCQ) commenced its largest commission project on the books this week worth $28 million for a high credentialed consortium of local developers based in Noosa.

Demolition is underway of the old Rainbow Beach Hotel site, which will be replaced by The Plantation – a three-storey beachfront complex of 35 two and three-bedroom apartments to be operated as a boutique hotel.

Director for RCQ, Mr Steve Cole, said the team felt privileged to have been chosen to undertake the construction of such a luxurious development in one of the most prime and unique locations in Queensland.

“We were pleased to get the go-ahead to proceed with The Plantation,” Mr Cole said.
“The developers and architects must be commended on their philosophy for the site which will facilitate relaxed beachside living in a style that suits this superb location.”

“RCQ is currently working on six multi-million dollar high-rise residential projects throughout Queensland and combined with our newly established senior management team, we’re more than equipped to take on projects of this calibre,” Mr Cole said.

The luxurious Plantation accommodation will be vertically integrated with a two storey ‘Colonial Queenslander’ style hotel with function facilities for weddings and conferences, and a fine dining restaurant.

The hotel, by design, will be an attraction for people to visit and stay. There will be a small number of shops set in a piazza and garden precinct which will be selectively let to operators who will provide other services to guests.

Backed by its parent company, Reed Property Group, RCQ celebrates its 20th birthday this year.
